Why the Wilde Wood?
From Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Graham:
I see you don't understand, and I must explain it to you.
Well, very long ago, on the spot where the Wild Wood waves now, before ever it had planted itself and grown up to what it now is, there was a city - a city of people, you know. Here, where we are standing, they lived, and walked, and talked, and slept, and carried on their business.
Here they stabled their horses and feasted, from here they rode out to fight or drove out to trade.
They were a powerful people, and rich, and great builders. They built to last, for they thought their city would last for ever.
Why are your dates all mixed up?
There's not - I'm just subscribing to ISO 8601 format. I was thinking about a clear way to denote dates, especially when dealing with computers, then realised there was probably an international standard for it. With a little searching I found I was right, and that was it. This will become more prevalent in the future, and most (if not all) computer programs will be able to communicate using this format.
But not every date is in that format...
I'm working on it. I'm also making an effort to make every page on this website w3c compliant.
Why don't you have printable versions of your webpages?
All pages on this site will have an alternate stylesheet, allowing seamless printing of pages in a suitable format (hopefully).
