A solo project of Merritt, the Gothic Archies have produced original theme songs for HarperAudio children's books, including the Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket and incidental music for Coraline by Neil Gaiman.
In addition to being a pun on the term Gothic arch
the Gothic refers to the dark lyrics while Archies refers
to the band that sang Sugar, Sugar.
Current project is creating the theme music for Series of Unfortunate Events books on tape.
1995 - The Abandoned Castle of My Soul is the first appearance, on a compilation from Harriet Records, The Long Secret.
1996-03 - Looming in the Gloom released.
